This spring, state agencies are preparing their budget requests to submit to Governor Kotek. It’s critical that agency leaders and the Governor hear from Outdoor School organizations and individuals as they develop their budgets. It’s much harder to get funds added to an already developed budget!
The state Outdoor School budget resides within the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC) budget. Currently, HECC’s budget does not restore full funding for 2027-2029. Now is the time to submit your written testimony and to register to speak at public meetings in support of full Outdoor School funding.
